Ambrell Delivers "Green" Heating Technologies

Ambrell, a leading manufacturer of induction heating systems, is pleased to offer energy efficient heating solutions, including its recently expanded line of EKOHEAT low frequency systems.

Induction heating is a flameless, non-contact method where the heat is generated within the part being heated. Other methods of heating are less efficient because they heat a larger area instead of just the desired part. Induction is a rapid method of heating which consumes energy only when the power is on and the part is inside the coil.

EKOHEAT systems convert power extremely efficiently with a power factor in excess of 0.9, which minimizes energy costs. Agile frequency tuning in the EKOHEAT systems continuously optimizes the delivery of power to the heated part providing consistent and repeatable heating.

Shrink Fitting, Wire Annealing Processes Profit from Ambrell Induction Heating

Ambrell, a leading manufacturer of induction heating systems, is pleased to introduce the EKOHEAT 250/10 – with 250 kW of power and a center frequency of 10 kHz. It is part of a comprehensive line of Ambrell high to low frequency induction heating systems.

Ambrell’s Applications Lab has found the EKOHEAT 250/10 to be ideal in a wide range of applications:
•Shrink fitting a pipe with a 10” outside diameter for an oil industry application
•Annealing wire with a diameter of nearly 1” as part of an in-line manufacturing process
•Preheating steel bars with a diameter of 2.5” prior to welding
Other successful EKOHEAT 250/10 applications include hardening, preheating for forging, and crucible heating.

Many organizations with heating applications are looking to induction because it’s a flameless, non-contact method that’s fast, precise, energy efficient and conducive to process repeatability. Cheltenham Induction Heating becomes Ambrell Ltd

Ambrell, a leading manufacturer of induction heating systems, is pleased to announce its changing the name of its United Kingdom operation from Cheltenham Induction Heating to Ambrell Ltd.

Ambrell acquired Cheltenham Induction Heating in 2005. The acquisition resulted in an integrated organization that has benefitted from the synergies that each operation offered. Ambrell’s European operations have expanded considerably since the 2005 acquisition, as has its brand recognition, so it was decided to bring its United Kingdom operation under the parent brand to better demonstrate Ambrell’s strong, unified worldwide presence.

The name change does not impact day-to-day operations at its United Kingdom location. All contracts remain valid, the operations in Cheltenham are unchanged, and Cheltenham Induction Heating’s customers will continue to receive the same high level of service they’ve come to expect. Ambrell continues to be fully committed to the United Kingdom market, and looks forward to even further growth.
