Benteler Distribution builds central warehouse

Benteler Distribution Germany (BDD) invested in the expansion of the Duisburg BDD location to the central warehouse, it will be a great asset to the group. An additional area, very close to the existing Duisburg BDD location, is developed, which can accommodate further 10,000 tons of pipes. In the new 10,000 square meter hall, modern technology will be used, due to a fully automated high-bay warehouse. Overall, the central warehouse will include 30,000 square feet of warehouse space and 22,000 tons of pipes. The total investment will be in the double-digit million area. 40 jobs will be created in the central warehouse.

Due to the central warehouse, Benteler Distribution can greatly improve the logistics structure and the operations, so that the competitiveness and services can get optimized and sales potential can get better used. Customers will benefit from the increase in product availability, shorter delivery times and bundled deliveries.
