ABSTRACT

Eddy Current Testing (ET) is a well-known and proven technology for wire rod surface inspection and bars rolling processes. It’s been used for many years as the preferred nondestructive testing (NDT) method by the industry leaders. However, ET has some limitations such as long defects identification and periodic defects inspection accuracy.

Due to continuous progress achieved in ET technology, specifically with the

ISEND HOT DISCOVER EQUIPMENT , it remains a reliable surface defects detection method.

Therefore, information systems and analytic tools integration from different technologies provide new tools able to combine different methods by picking the best of each one.

EDDYEYES TECHNOLOGY is a new approach to hot rolling inspection that integrates ET and VISION and overcome the ET limits with the benefit of VISION technology.
