Lune Prozesstechnik GmbH

lune extends possibilities in contactless temperature measurement

Neuss, February 1rst, 2016 – Germany-based lune Prozesstechnik GmbH has systematically advanced its CHF (connective heat flow) system. The proven sensor heads now measure temperatures of up to 300 C. Iune also introduces a 60% smaller sensor head, which allows for an easier realisation of multi-wire applications. Users can validate and sustainably optimise their processes with the speed, precision and ease of use the system is known for.

Advantages over current methods
lune CHF is a noncontact system entirely without optics. It measures the surface temperature of moving, structured, round or flat objects like wires or sheets. Contrary to current optical IR processes, temperature measurement is independent from influences like emissions, surface structure, colour, reflection, speed or size of the objects. Compared with tactile processes, measurement is reproducible (up to 0.25% of the measuring range) and much more accurate.Process capability has been proven according to the Cg/Cgk measurement system analysis.

lune CHF is the world's only system with integrated reference temperature. It features automatic self-calibration, meaning users need to set the value just once. In addition, lune CHF has no moving parts, which means no wear and tear. lune CHF users benefit from a maintenance-free solution designed for continuous operation.

Broader temperature range
The advanced lune CHF system measures temperatures between 10 and 300° C (50°-572° F). The new, smaller sensor head has a temperature range of 20 to 400C (68-725 ° F). This head can be used for multi wire applications. "The increased measuring range and the introduction of the new small head make the system even more flexible," says lune CEO Harald Boehnert. "With this, we have opened up further possible applications for users."
