Hamburg/Wuerzburg, Germany, February 23, 2016 – On occasion of the “Best of Industry” (BoI) award ceremony in Wuerzburg/Germany, Simufact, an MSC software company, has been awarded with a nomination certificate for their welding simulation software Simufact.welding. Simufact.welding was nominated for the most innovative solution in the “forming and sheet metal processing” category.
Simufact.welding allows the user to calculate distortions, residual stresses and material states in welding processes from a single user interface. Dr. Hendrik Schafstall, Simufact’s Managing Director and CTO, said "It is a great success being nominated to this award. Our approach is to provide industry with a sophisticated and easy-to-use software for simulating thermal joining processes. We have had very positive feedback from both the German market and internationally." "Receiving the nomination for the ‘Best of Industry award’ also gives us and our development team an additional boost" Michael Wohlmuth, Managing Director and CEO of Simufact, added. The winner of the BoI award in the “forming and sheet metal processing” category was Amada, a company based in Haan near Dusseldorf.
The BoI award is a new initiative driven by Vogel Business Media Publishing. The award allows all products and services that have already won a prize, or have had a good market response, to compete for a further award and recognition – the “best-of-the-best”. A jury of eight experts and readers of the trade magazine “MM Maschinenmarkt” voted for thirty-four products in ten categories.
