Winner against wear
What do football and tungsten carbide have in common? Both are supposed to show full capacity. The result of this challenge is presented at this year’s Wire & Tube at the DURIT stand C33.
The ones who regularly attend the international double trade fair on wire, cable, and tube technology in Duesseldorf know: A visit at DURIT always offers surprising moments. This manufacturer of precision tools and engineering components made of tungsten carbide based in Wuppertal knows how to stage the central topic of wear in a new and interesting way again and again. Their appearance at the Wire & Tube 2014 is still in our minds, where a dinosaur made a great stir.
Football at the maximum
In the year of the European Football Championship, sports are in the spotlight of DURIT’s appearance. Worn exhibits dated from the beginnings of German football history show how tough kicking can be. It figures that this equipment features only a limited durability.
Invincible in durability and performance
The material tungsten carbide is quite different from this. Especially in the fields of wire shaping and tube production, wear-resistant quality products made by DURIT display exceptional efficiency and durability. Due to these qualities, those diverse components and tools are able to evidently reduce the risk of wear during the entire production process. Thus, service lives are extended and maintenance costs are reduced at the same time.
“We keep it rolling, so that wear still doesn’t stand a chance“, explains Michael Mense, managing director at DURIT. “That is why we keep focusing on our bundled know-how in research, development, and production practice for providing the exact solution to optimize production for users from many different industrial sectors.”
