The conference will focus the exchange of new results on the interface of classical polymer science with biological systems and the importance of developing new water-based technologies. This includes topics ranging from 'polymers from biomass', 'chemical and physico-chemical transformations in water' to the 'development of novel bio-inspired macromolecular systems and bio-hybrids'. With the common theme expressed by the sub-title 'New Polymer Technologies with Water', the conference will span topics starting from application oriented research in water based polymers, to engineering polymers from biomass, and up to highly specific and novel bio-functional polymers.
