Aceros Arequipa, one of Peru’s leading steel producers, has awarded Fives a contract to supply a complete OTO tube mill with integrated finishing and packaging equipment for its plant in Lima. The scope of supply covers the entire production line, from the entry section through to packaging and strapping, reinforcing the company’s commitment to product quality, operational efficiency and high productivity.
The new OTO tube mill will be designed, supplied and installed by Fives as a turnkey project. The line is intended for the production of tubes for construction and structural applications and will process wall thicknesses of up to 2 mm and diameters of up to 40 mm. A state-of-the-art packaging section will enable the production and bundling of tubes at very high speed.
Advanced software packages will support operators in both equipment operation and preventive maintenance activities. The highly automated workflow minimizes manual intervention, increasing productivity while enhancing plant safety by reducing operator exposure to potential risks.

According to the company, the project was developed in close collaboration with the customer. In addition to supplying the equipment, Fives provided technical recommendations and best-practice guidance to help Aceros Arequipa achieve stable production, high-quality standards and maximum productivity.
