Turkish steel pipe producer Borusan Birleşik Boru Fabrikaları Ticaret A.Ş. (Borusan Boru) has announced that its U.S. subsidiary, Borusan Berg Pipe, has booked a major line pipe contract valued at approximately USD 553 million following extensive commercial negotiations in the United States.
Under the agreement, large-diameter line pipes will be manufactured at Borusan Berg Pipe’s production facility in Mobile, Alabama. According to the company, production is scheduled to begin in 2027, with deliveries also expected to be completed within the same year.
The order is anticipated to make a positive contribution to Borusan Boru’s turnover in 2027, reflecting strong demand for domestically produced line pipe in the U.S. energy infrastructure market. At the same time, the company noted that the final financial impact may vary depending on project execution, schedule progression and normal fluctuations in market conditions.
The contract underlines Borusan Berg Pipe’s established position in the U.S. large-diameter pipe segment and highlights the continued importance of local manufacturing capabilities for major pipeline projects.
