The Ukrainian manufacturer of seamless stainless steel pipes, Centravis, has signed a long-term supply agreement with the German company Voss Fluid, which specialises in hydraulic connections. Voss Fluid, which has offices in Europe and China, uses Centravis' high-quality pipes in applications that have to withstand extreme conditions, such as hydrogen and compressed natural gas projects. Of particular note is a newly patented hydraulic connection from Voss Fluid for hydrogen projects, which is supported by the pipes supplied.
According to Centravis, the demand for such products will continue to grow in the future as hydrogen projects become increasingly important worldwide. Centravis has already been involved in several important projects in this field, including an EU project for the development of hydrogen vehicles. With its specially developed H2FIT tubes, Centravis is contributing to the realisation of the European zero-carbon targets.
In the first half of 2024, Centravis increased its production by 9% to 6,880 tonnes and the company expects demand to remain high in international export markets, particularly in Germany and the USA.
