Corinth Pipeworks, a leading steel pipe supplier and part of Belgium-based Cenergy Holdings, has been contracted by UK engineering firm Subsea7 to supply pipes for two offshore projects in the North Sea. These agreements reinforce Corinth Pipeworks’ long-term position in the region.
The first project, named Bestla, is located on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. It involves the supply of 12.5 kilometers of high-frequency welded (HFW) steel pipes with a diameter of 14 inches. The development plan includes connecting two subsea wells to the Brage platform, which will serve as the hub for production, processing, and export of gas and liquid fuels.
The second project, Bittern, is situated in the UK Central North Sea. Corinth Pipeworks will manufacture and supply approximately 22 kilometers of HFW steel pipes for a 12-inch water injection pipeline, with installation scheduled for 2025.
In addition to pipe supply, Corinth Pipeworks will provide external coating services, which will be carried out at the same location as the pipe manufacturing. The company’s facility is equipped to apply external coatings to 22.9-meter-long steel pipes, highlighting Corinth Pipeworks’ comprehensive solutions for offshore pipeline projects.
