The supplier of wastewater pipe connections, Fernco GmbH, has been awarded the EcoZert certificate by the independent testing institute Creditreform for its commitment to sustainability. The official presentation took place on 7 December 2023 at the company's headquarters in Eschwege.
Sustainability as a corporate philosophy
Michael Penalver Giar, Managing Director of Fernco GmbH, emphasised the company's responsibility towards society, the environment and its own employees. Fernco favours resource-conserving processes along the entire supply chain and cultivates a working environment that promotes respectful interaction with employees, partners and customers. EcoZert certification: ESG criteria as a basis
Fernco's approach to sustainability management is based on ESG criteria (economic, environmental and social factors), which are documented and made comprehensible by the EcoZert certificate. This award from Creditreform Rating AG is based on a specific evaluation index and thus creates transparency and international comparability for Fernco's sustainable initiatives.
Penalver Giar is motivated to press ahead with its sustainability strategy and sees the certificate as an incentive for other companies to follow its example and also focus on sustainable processes.
