“BUTTING is building a new production facility in America” – this announcement drew considerable attention several months ago. During the Ground Breaking Event on November 13, Marcel Bartels, CEO Division Plant Engineering at BUTTING, and Adrian Rochofski, CEO of BUTTING USA, planted a “Live Oak,” a tree native to the American South and symbolic of strength and longevity. They were joined by local officials, partners and political representatives.
“Loxley is now part of our BUTTING family. We are here to stay. Together we will build something that will benefit future generations,” emphasised Adrian Rochofski.
With the construction of the new production site in Loxley, Alabama, BUTTING is taking another major step toward the long-term advancement of the company. “With our strengths in forming, welding, machining and materials technology, and with our expertise in engineering, logistics, installation and quality assurance, we are the perfect partner for demanding applications in the United States—whether in the energy sector, semiconductor manufacturing or other industries. Our American customers place great value on quality and local production. With our new facility, we can now meet the increasing demand for products manufactured in the USA, while maintaining the high standards associated with the BUTTING name,” explained Marcel Bartels, outlining the motivation for the company’s expansion across the Atlantic.
The Governor of Alabama, Kay Ivey, welcomed BUTTING via video message: “We are proud to welcome this historic family-owned company to Alabama and look forward to seeing its roots take hold.”
Completion of the first production hall is scheduled for late 2026. BUTTING has already begun assembling a local team. Until the new building is ready, the company will manufacture its first products on American soil in a rented facility.
