Hoa Phat Group has officially inaugurated a new steel pipe manufacturing plant in Tay Ninh province, marking a significant step in expanding its production footprint in southern Vietnam and enhancing its export capabilities.
The new facility adds 400,000 tonnes per year of capacity, bringing Hoa Phat’s total steel pipe production capacity to 1.2 million tonnes annually. With this expansion, the company further consolidates its leading position in Vietnam’s steel pipe market, where it holds a market share of approximately 35 percent.
Built on a 15-hectare site with a total investment exceeding VND 2 trillion (around USD 97 million), the plant is equipped with fully integrated, modern production lines sourced from G7 countries. The facility is designed to support efficient, high-quality pipe production for a wide range of applications in construction, industry and infrastructure.
Sustainability is a key component of the project. In line with Vietnam’s green development strategy, Hoa Phat has installed a 10 MW rooftop solar power system, enabling the plant to generate more than 50 percent of its electricity demand internally. This approach contributes to reduced operating emissions while supporting long-term energy efficiency.
With the commissioning of the Tay Ninh plant, Hoa Phat continues to strengthen its role as a major supplier of steel pipe solutions in Southeast Asia, combining capacity expansion with modern production technology and increasing focus on sustainable manufacturing.
