Bulgaria-based Intercom Group is expanding its steel tube and pipe portfolio with additional dimensions, wall thicknesses and new precision tube products. The move is part of the company’s ongoing investment in production capacity and is intended to address growing demand from customers across Europe.
For square and rectangular welded hollow sections, Intercom Group will extend its dimensional range to sizes of up to 150 × 150 mm and 200 × 100 mm. Available wall thicknesses will increase to as much as 6 mm.
The company is also broadening its range of round welded steel pipes. Within its EN 10219 product group, customers will have access to a wider selection of wall thicknesses.
Precision steel tubes added to portfolio
A further expansion concerns precision steel tubes manufactured in accordance with EN 10305-3. Intercom Group will add square, rectangular and round precision tubes to its portfolio, targeting applications in mechanical engineering, the automotive industry and general engineering.
The addition extends the company’s activities beyond its existing range of welded pipes and structural hollow sections and addresses applications requiring tighter dimensional tolerances and defined technical properties.
Intercom Group’s existing tube and pipe portfolio includes welded products manufactured in accordance with EN 10219, EN 10255 and EN 10305 standards. According to the company, the products are manufactured within standard tolerances, are suitable for hot-dip galvanising and carry CE marking.
New sections for structural and solar applications
In addition to its tube portfolio, Intercom Group plans to introduce cold-formed U and L steel sections in accordance with EN 10162. These products are intended for metal structures, photovoltaic parks and other structural applications.
The broader product range forms part of Intercom Group’s continuing investment in manufacturing capacity and its strategy to respond to increasing demand in European markets.
