Ukrainian steel pipe and railway wheel manufacturer Interpipe has introduced a new line of ultra-heavy steel pipes, each weighing over three tons and measuring up to seven meters in length. Designed for mechanical engineering and infrastructure applications, this innovation marks a significant expansion of the company’s production capabilities and positions it to better serve the European market.
According to Interpipe, these new pipes are approximately 50% heavier than standard versions, which typically weigh around two tons and are up to five meters long with a wall thickness of 50–60 mm. The company has already supplied the enhanced pipes to a customer for use in manufacturing hydraulic cylinders for mining roof support systems.
