JFE Shoji Steel Pipe & Tube Expands Market Presence with Maruhachi Steel Pipe Acquisition

JFE Shoji Steel Pipe & Tube Co., Ltd, a subsidiary of Japanese steel producer JFE Steel Corporation, has announced the acquisition of Maruhachi Steel Pipe Co., Ltd, which operates in Urayasu and Sendai. Maruhachi Steel Pipe, known for its extensive inventory, specializes in manufacturing and selling medium- and large-diameter steel pipes and tubes.

With this acquisition, JFE Shoji Steel Pipe & Tube plans to enhance its operations by establishing a robust inventory, processing, and sales system. The company aims to expand its presence in the construction and civil engineering sectors, collaborating with its other subsidiary, Hoshi Kinzoku Co., Ltd. This strategic move supports the renewal of aging infrastructure and contributes to national resilience initiatives focused on disaster prevention, mitigation, and data center construction.
