On 10 October 2023, the leading German line information portal infrest was launched under the new name Leico and with a new design.
More than 90 % of all infrastructure operators are now included in the portal's quality-assured database - so Leico is also setting new standards in terms of offering and quality.
"We have now gathered more than twelve years of experience with line information in Germany and have long been the leading provider of line information services not only in our home region of Berlin and Brandenburg, but also in all 16 federal states throughout Germany", underlines infrest Managing Director Jürgen Besler. "Now, with a new name and a new brand, we want to make our leading position even more clearly and emphatically known, especially in the all-German environment“, Besler continues about the brand relaunch.
"Expert estimates suggest that there are currently around 18,000 infrastructure operators across the country in all energy and utility sectors. We now already have more than 16,500 of them registered in our database, and more than 50 % of them have also already entered their concrete supply areas in our database. This makes us the leader in Germany", explains Jürgen Besler. "We offer the construction industry by far the greatest accessibility of network operators and thus contribute to sustainably improved safety in the construction and planning sector as well as to accelerating processes in construction implementation."
New functions and qualitative improvement
Access to the portal remains free of charge for infrastructure managers who post their data for the first time or sharpen and focus their coverage areas. This significantly increases the quality of the database. Some new functions and features are also provided by Leico. These include, for example, the integration of ALKIS data and aerial photographs. Users also have the option of using Leico to reach leading cable network and broadband operators nationwide as well as infrastructure operators of all sectors via information interfaces or directly to obtain line information. These include companies such as Deutsche Telekom, Netcologne, 1&1 Versatel, Vodafone, DNS:NET, 50Hertz, Primagas, Naturstrom, Berliner Wasserbetriebe and many others. The previous free services will also remain under the Leico brand - such as hotline, helpdesk, web seminars and, in particular, the diverse differentiated product offerings from operator information to the provision of the digital construction file, which will continue to be continuously expanded.
