Marcegaglia UK has modernized its production facility in Oldbury and is now offering electrically welded stainless steel tubes. This expansion complements the existing production of carbon steel tubes and strengthens the company’s broad product range. With this move, Marcegaglia UK positions itself as a reliable partner for numerous applications in the steel industry.
As a global leader in welded stainless steel tube manufacturing, Marcegaglia produces tubes for a wide range of industries: from process pipes for the food and dairy industry to tubes for heat exchangers and applications in the oil and gas sector, as well as decorative and mechanical tubes for construction and automotive use.
Production at the Oldbury site focuses on stainless steel grade 304 and meets the EN10296-2 standards for round tubes and ASTM A554 standards for square and rectangular variants. The facility covers 69,000 square meters, including 46,184 square meters of covered space. In addition to four production lines for carbon steel tubes with a capacity of 70,000 tons, the site operates three stainless steel tube production lines, providing an additional capacity of 30,000 tons.
Strict quality controls—including tensile strength, deformation, and dimensional checks—ensure the high reliability and durability of the products.
By joining the British Stainless Steel Association (BSSA), Marcegaglia UK reaffirms its commitment to innovation, quality, and close collaboration in the stainless steel industry. The expansion of production capacity marks a significant milestone in the company’s growth strategy.
