Funke Kunststoffe GmbH from Hamm-Uentrop develops system solutions made of the versatile material PVC-U for the application areas of sewer pipes, manholes, rainwater management, soil stabilisation, property drainage, house connections and tree supply.
In October 2023, Norbert and Hans-Günter Funke transferred the management of Funke Kunststoffe GmbH to their sons Christian and Matthias.
"By handing over responsibility to the next generation, we have created the basis for continuing the tradition and success of our family business in a consistent and future-oriented manner", explains Norbert Funke.
Christian and Matthias Funke want to put the company on an even broader footing and further expand the sewer and pipeline construction division. Christian Funke will focus on the commercial side of the business, while Matthias Funke will be responsible for the technical side.
Company wants to strengthen its market position
According to the new managing directors, their previous roles in the company were already geared towards their future tasks. Matthias Funke has been working in the technology department for many years and was most recently in charge of the department. Christian Funke, on the other hand, went through various commercial departments in the company to prepare himself for the tasks ahead.
"With modern company management and the cultivation of an open communication culture, we want to solve the upcoming challenges together with the Funke team in the future", say Christian and Matthias Funk. "In this way, we will consolidate and further expand the market position of the family business as an established supplier of plastic pipe systems in the German and European civil engineering market."
