It is certainly impressive - the ‘Annemie Wolff Bridge’ was recently built in Ijburg in the Netherlands as a link between Haveneiland and Centromeiland.
Kersten is proud to have contributed to this beautiful structure. The specialists produce the bent parts of the steel construction. For this purpose, 240 610x40 mm tubes were bent to radii of 16162 mm and 80797 mm. Due to the large pipe dimensions and radii, the company chose the induction bending process, whereby the pipe is heated locally before bending. After bending, the tubes were cut to the correct size, bevelled and transported to the customer Iemants, where the parts were assembled.
Kersten also produced bent structural parts for the 2080 bridge, which will be installed in the course of 2024.
