SKZ joins Plastic Pipes Institute to strengthen global plastic pipe expertise

International cooperation for plastic piping systems

The Testing division of SKZ in Würzburg has joined the US-based Plastic Pipes Institute (PPI). Through its membership, SKZ aims to contribute its expertise in plastics testing and certification to the international development and wider adoption of plastic piping systems.

PPI provides a common platform for companies and organisations across the plastic pipe industry to promote the acceptance and use of plastic piping systems worldwide. Its activities include research, education, technical expertise and industry advocacy.

As an accredited laboratory with extensive expertise in plastics testing and certification, SKZ brings technical know-how and practical experience to the association. The institute expects the cooperation to support further innovation and development in plastic pipe technology and infrastructure applications.

Focus on sustainable pipe infrastructure

SKZ and PPI share the objective of advancing sustainable and future-proof infrastructure solutions based on plastic piping systems. Plastic pipes combine resource efficiency with durability, low maintenance requirements and energy-efficient operation.
