Stegra will participate for the first time in Tube Düsseldorf, the world’s leading trade fair for the tube and pipe industry. The exhibition will take place from 13 to 17 April 2026 as part of Wire & Tube Düsseldorf and covers the entire value chain from raw materials to tube production.
At the centre of Stegra’s presentation is near-zero emission steel, which is expected to play a key role in reducing the carbon footprint of the tube and pipe sector. Europe is one of the world’s largest producers of steel tubes, manufacturing more than ten million tonnes annually. As conventional steel production accounts for a significant share of global CO₂ emissions, the choice of material is becoming increasingly important for manufacturers and end users.
Stegra is currently building a large-scale steel plant designed to operate with green hydrogen, aiming to reduce CO₂ emissions by up to 95 percent compared with conventional steelmaking processes.
Visitors can meet the company in Hall 1, Stand C26, where the team will present developments in near-zero emission steel and discuss potential partnerships across the industrial value chain.
Stegra will also host several presentations during the event. On 13 April, Lars Lundström, Head of Product Sustainability at Stegra, will speak in the official programme about the role of near-zero emission steel in the future of the industry. Additional talks at the company’s stand will address the transformation of the steel sector and the development of Europe’s first greenfield steel plant.
