Steel pipe manufacturer Tenaris, headquartered in Luxembourg, is expanding its U.S. production footprint with the acquisition of the Beaver Falls scrap facility in Pennsylvania. The purchase was executed through its subsidiary Steel Recycling Services, which acquired the 39-acre site from SA Recycling.
Located directly beside Tenaris’s steel plant in Koppel, Pennsylvania, the facility will give the company immediate access to a critical feedstock stream for the production of seamless steel tubes.
By integrating scrap collection and processing into its existing U.S. operations, Tenaris aims to optimise raw-material flows, increase production efficiency and reinforce its domestic manufacturing capacity. The initiative forms part of the company’s long-term strategy to secure essential inputs for U.S. tube and pipe production.
Although ownership has been transferred, SA Recycling will continue to operate the facility under a transitional agreement until early 2026.
Tenaris expects the investment to enhance supply-chain stability and support the continued development of its U.S.-based steel tube manufacturing operations.
