Spanish steel manufacturer Transmesa is investing €15 million in a new stainless steel tube production line at its Sant Ramon facility, aiming to serve the growing markets for hybrid and hydrogen-powered vehicles. According to local media sources, the new line will become operational in the coming months and will occupy more than 22,000 square meters of newly equipped space, including added warehouses and machinery.
With this expansion, Transmesa plans to diversify its portfolio beyond carbon steel tubes, introducing stainless steel options tailored for hydrogen and methane-powered engines in hybrid vehicles, railway systems, and gas-dependent semiconductor facilities. The company anticipates that the stainless tube product line will drive a 33% revenue increase, projecting annual earnings to rise to €80 million.
