Ready for take-off? Careers will take off at wire & Tube 2026; at least that's what High Potential Day (HPD) promises, an exciting initiative for young talent that will make its grand debut in the foyer/north entrance on Thursday, 16 April. We asked organiser Sarah Reusche for more details.
Sarah, why do the wire and Tube trade fairs for wire, cable, tube and pipe industries need their own High Potential Area with an HPD Day?
Because we work in challenging industries that are often underestimated but are full of innovation. From energy transition to infrastructure to high-tech production: nothing works without wires, cables and tubes. With the High Potential Area in the North Entrance of the Düsseldorf Fairgrounds, we are creating a place where young professionals can experience first-hand how modern, international and future-oriented our exhibitors are and how many exciting career paths there are here.
What exactly can students and young professionals expect on site?
Above all, genuine encounters. Over 2,500 exhibiting companies from all over the world, all the key players in one place and, right in the middle, a platform that specifically brings young talent together with employers. There are career talks, networking opportunities and very practical insights into entry-level and development opportunities. It is important to us that this is not a stiff job fair, but a lively exchange on an equal footing.
Be honest: why should people definitely stop by the HPD on 14 April 2026?
Because you'll learn about many different job prospects and, in the best case scenario, even find a job right away. The industry is changing – digitalisation, sustainability, new markets. Those who get involved now can really make a difference. And honestly, when else do you get the chance to get to know an entire industry in one day? It's career speed dating with depth. You can download a free ticket to attend HPD here. It's definitely worth it:
