We too can hardly await the forthcoming wire and Tube and want the upcoming edition to prove the greatest success possible for you and all parties involved after a long Covid break.

The currently dynamic infection patterns and the rapid spread of the Omicron variant have resulted in changes to the Düsseldorf trade fair calendar, which require postponing the wire and Tube originally scheduled for 9 to 13 May.

wire and Tube will now be held from 20 to 24 June 2022 – a point in time that offers you more planning security and greater prospects for success. By that time, we expect a clearly more positive situation overall. We are bolstered here by the experience gained during the past pandemic years and forecasts from numerous virologists. In early summer we expect infection patterns to be less dynamic – and hence more people will be able to enter the country and participate.

The partial overlap of the METAV trade fair provides added value and synergy effects for the companies exhibiting at wire and Tube. The leading trade fair for metal-working technologies was already postponed by VDW (German Machine Tool Builders’ Association) to 21 to 24 June. Visitors to wire and Tube will also thus benefit from the complementary ranges of METAV.
