Germany has set itself the goal of becoming climate neutral by 2045. A key aspect of this is dealing with unavoidable CO₂ emissions. A landmark decision was made in this regard at the end of last year: on 28 November 2025, the amendment to the KSpG (Kohlendioxid-Speicherungsgesetz) came into force.

The H2Rollout research project, with participation from Westfälische Hochschule, is investigating the combustion behavior of so-called flat flame burners and their conversion to hydrogen.
