Offline Adaptable Spiral Pipe Mill
Due to the economical efficient two step-step production process (off line) the spiral pipe is formed in the conventional mode, by means of the three roller bending process but is provisionally continuously tack welded by a high speed welding process (CO2 process) internally.
Once the pipe has been formed and provisionally welded and run off down the Pay-Off Table, it is cut off and then transferred to the OFFLINE WELDING STATIONS, which welds the pipe internally and externally. This ensures that the welding parameters, for high grade steel pipe, are adhered to throughout the process. The pipe produced on this Off Line Spiral Weld Pipe Mill is in accordance with the API Specification 5L and for water pipes according to AWWA standards.
Production Pipe Range for Offline Adaptable Spiral Pipe Mill from Diameter 609mm (24”) to Diameter 2032mm (80”) and wall thickness from 6mm (7/32”) to 24.5mm (1”). In steel grade up to API 5L X70 and API 5L maximum wall thickness 20mm
Production Capacity for Conventional Spiral Pipe Mill is 180,000 – 220,000 tones per annual on 3 shift operation with 3 offline welding station. (Pipe size under consideration OD: 56” x 16mm wall thickness)
