The Sassenscheidt company was founded in 1912 as a family-owned company. It was run by the owners Mrs. D. Knipp and the Managing Director Mrs. K. Lehleiter until 2013. At the end of the year 2013, the company was sold to the family-owned company Hagener Feinstahl Bender GmbH in Hagen for age reasons.
The Sassenscheidt company has produced fine wire ever since it was founded. Today, fine wires are manufactured from stainless steels and special alloys in alloy groups 1.4016 to 2.4869 in sizes ranging from 0.035 mm to 0.50 mm. Stranded ropes and wires are still manufactured from these soft wires today, for example to produce woven architectural meshes. These high quality products are used in the following areas of industry:
• Weaving plants for wire meshes • Knitting plants for knitted wire meshes as damping elements • Wire rope makers • Electrical machine construction/household appliances • Automobile industry
The manufacture of such complex wires and stranded cables requires the use of the latest manufacturing technology, which can only be achieved through extensive investments. To ensure and continuously advance the quality of the products manufactured and of the company itself, we have introduced a quality management system.
