Spring tester AFP-20D

Automatic tester AFP-20 for test of compression springs with servo drive. Two precision ballscrews (diameter 63 mm) and two columns (diameter 60 mm) guarantee an precise and durably movement of the upper testplate, test lenght 1.300 mm with a resolution of 0,01 mm, testplate diameter 400 mm with ring marks to place the spring in center. The upper testplate has the possibility to check springs on a guide mandrel with max. diameter of 120 mm or can be used without a hole. The lower testplate rests on 4 loadcells to get a very stable and repeatable result. The speed of the upper testplate is adjustable and performs tests of long springs with high speed. A loading table for a spring or guide mandrel is placed in front of the lower testplate so that the spring or the mandrel with spring can easily be placed on the testplate. Above the table optional a crane can be fitted to place the bigger springs on the loading table or mandrel. The mandrels are fixed on their own baseplate. They are placed on the lower testplate and can be pulled out to load the spring.

AFP-20D spring gauge

The AFP-20 automatic spring gauge is supplied with PC, as well as a standard program for input/output statistics. Two precision spindles (diameter 63 mm) with two guide columns (diameter 60 mm) support the movable center crosshead, measuring plate diameter 400 mm with centering aid. The upper measuring plate is designed so that it can be operated closed or with mandrels of max. diameter 120 mm. A mandrel/spring rest table in front of the machine is arranged in such a way that the spring (or mandrel with spring) can be pushed onto the measuring plate without any barriers. A crane can optionally be mounted above the table, with which the springs can be lifted onto the table (or over the mandrel). The springs are mounted on mandrels, which are mounted on an additional plate. They stand on the lower measuring plate and can be pulled out to the front for loading with springs. Compensation of the deformation of the load frame in 36 steps (deformation characteristic), max. travel speed 1,500 mm/min.

FEW spring detangling system with camera

The springs or other parts are fed manually or via supply hoppers into the circular conveyor bowl. Its oscillating drive transports the springs upward on spirals, where they are presorted at an adjustable baffle. They are then checked for disentanglement by a camera. Springs that are not disentangled are conveyed by a blowing pulse to a disentangler, where they are disentangled and returned to the round feeder. Disentangled springs are conveyed further and can be fed to their machines in a tube or via a linear rail.

Reel AGH-7.5

With the AGH-7.5 reel, the wire can be laid horizontally in coils or spools. The reel is suitable for both uniform and intermittent wire consumption. Due to the driven pay-off with tension compensation, only very low tensile forces, adapted to the wire diameter, act on the wire. Furthermore, no additional radial forces act on the feed rolls of the processing machine. This results in high feeding accuracy, which is particularly noticeable in sensitive production. High piece counts can be achieved thanks to the high plate speed. The reel is characterized by a particularly large wire accumulator, has a protective fence connection and a manual operating device.

Swift AGH-7.5

On the swift AGH-7.5 the wire can be placed horizontal on rings or drums. The swift is designed for continuous wirefeed as well as for intermittant wirefeed. Because of the electronic controlled motor with tensioncontrol the swift guarantees low and to the wirediameter adaptable tensionforces. Beside this there are no additional radialforces on the wirefeed of the coiler. With these advantages you can reach a high accuracy in wirefeed which improves the quality especially on a critical production. Higher production speed of springs can be reached because of the high speed of the swift. The swift has safety barrier connectors and hand-operate device.

The company was founded in 1979 by Klaus Böhm, and initially specialised in the manufacture of electronic measuring instruments for the spring manufacturing industry.

Sustained growth enabled the company to expand its product portfolio over a short period. It now manufactures spring load testers, automatic measuring systems, springcoilers, tempering furnaces, decoilers, spring-end grinding machines, automatic packaging machines, conveyor technology, automation and feeding solutions, spring production lines and special facilities.
